³⁰ Then Phinehas ^(A)stood up and interceded,
And so the ^(B)plague was checked.
³¹ And it was ^(C)counted to him for righteousness,
From generation to generation forever.

³² They also ^(D)provoked Him to wrath at the waters of ^[a]Meribah,
So that it ^(E)went badly with Moses on their account;
